Considering the global precautions currently being taken to reduce the spread of COVID-19, throughout the summer and fall we will continue to follow the guidance of Government and Health Officials. Based on direction from Government and Health Officials, if the unlikely decision is made in the fall that the event weekend needs to be postponed, we will be deferring race registrants to future event dates set for December 4th, 2021 or December 3rd, 2022.

The Tucson Marathon is still months away, it is very difficult to have any definitive clarity over the status of the event. We are working very closely on an ongoing basis with all of our municipal partners and our local health and public safety officials to understand the ever-changing conditions and how they might affect the event.  Our primary goal is to partner with all of these agencies in ensuring community health and to ensure a safe event for all participants, volunteers, and Tucson Marathon event staff.

We hope the anticipation of participating in the 50th Running of the Holualoa Tucson Marathon in December brings happiness to the Tucson community and for all runners and walkers who love the sport. We continue to wish you and your family good health, happiness, and fitness.

Be well,

Your Holualoa Tucson Marathon Team
