A bus ticket, provided by the Hilton at check-in, or by race staff at packet pick-up, will be required to board a bus on race morning.
Guests at the Hilton who did not book using the official race booking code will not be allowed to board these buses unless a separate bus ticket is purchased (**see below for payment information). If you are staying at the Hilton outside of the group code, and do not wish to purchase a bus ticket, you will need to find their way to your specific, official race parking lot. As soon as a bus is full, it will leave for the respective starting line of each race. Please note, buses will have signs indicating their start line destination: Marathon or Half-Marathon starting line. BE SURE TO BOARD THE CORRECT BUS! Post-race shuttles will also run from the Finish Line to the Hilton El Conquistador from 8:45am until 1:35pm. Again, We suggest that warm clothing is worn to the starting lines as temperatures can be cold on race morning. Please discard any used clothing in the starting line area or at aid stations along the course. Used clothing will be donated to local non-profits.
**For participants staying at the Hilton El Conquistador who made a reservation outside of the official race booking code: If you wish to take a shuttle from the hotel on race morning you can purchase a bus ticket at packet pick-up, or via PayPal by requesting a link via email. Please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org to request information on how to make payment ($10/ticket).
RUNNER DROP BAGS
Each runner will be provided with a plastic drop bag (your race goody bag) at Packet Pick-up. Participants may only use this bag to send extra clothing from the starting line to the finish line on race day. Please put all of your belongings in the bag, clearly write your bib number and last name on the bag and deposit in the appropriate window of the Drop Bag Bus at the start of each race.
The “Drop Bag Buses” will be the first 2 buses near the starting line of the each event. You may pick up your bag at the finish line after the race. All bags not picked up by 2 p.m. on race day will be collected by race volunteers and donated to local non-profits. If you fail to pick up your bag on race day, call the Marathon Hotline (520) 403-3355 prior to 3pm on race day to see if any extra bags were set aside. If so, you can make arrangements to pick up your belongings at that time, if available.
Please note, items left at the Start and/or Finish lines or Aid Stations along the course WILL NOT be saved and/or returned to participants. These items will be donated to a local charity.
